‘The Witcher’ Season 2: Storyline

Netflix’s The Witcher show is based on the book series written by Andrzej Sapkowski. The first season of The Witcher is based on a collection of short stories, The Last Sword and Sword of Destiny, that precede The Witcher saga. The season two storyline will most likely follow along with the next books in the series, with Blood of Elves and Time of Contempt. The Witcher saga begins by focusing on characters Geralt of Rivia and Ciri. Geralt is a witcher – a magically and genetically mutated superhuman – who can be hired to hunt monsters. Ciri is a sorceress and the sole princess of Cintra. She is left alone in season 1 after her grandparents are murdered and needs to fend for herself. Geralt will likely take Ciri under his wing and train her to use her powers to defend herself. Her life is very valuable because Ciri’s heritage has Elder Blood which grants her special powers and prophesizes that her child will become the ruler of the world.
