We Want This: Lipstick Jungle, Victory’s Gold Cuff Bracelet

Ok, so she got fired at the end of the episode. But Wendy (Brooke Shields) looked damn professional when it happened. We think Wendy’s wardrobe sets the standard for polished, modern, high-powered office wear - a wearable, realistic breath of fresh air from the days when Carrie Bradshaw trotted around Manhattan in hot pants and halters. We totally heart Lipstick Jungle and could not wait for the new season to start! Can we just say that last night’s premiere for season two did NOT disappoint. To help us celebrate the lovely ladies of LJ back on the silver screen we asked our friends at Shefinds.com to talk about some of the prominent trends and the stylish duds they loved from last night’s episode!

SHEFINDS ON LIPSTICK JUNGLE:

Lipstick Jungle kicked off with a surprising dose of dark humor last night. In the opening, the three leading ladies were tipsily giggling a funeral that we later learn was for Nico’s husband, who she had just learned was having a pretty extensive affair with a student (He got her pregnant! He was paying for her orthodontia!).

But - and it feels a little weird to say - the clothes were stellar as always. Even at the funeral.

Pieces in purple, a fall favorite this year, kept popping up onscreen.

Wendy wears this flattering Alberta Ferretti ruched satin dress ($1,225), and if you watch closely you’ll see Nico in Elie Tahari’s chic, sleek Breydon Dress ($220, was $368). Even Victory Ford’s feminine-eclectic style included the color, in the form of a simple cardigan like this one from BCBG ($138) expertly paired with a full metallic skirt ($325) by Phillip Lim.

The women were also seen sporting several different takes on pearls - Wendy’s ribbon-adorned necklace looks more casual, while Wendy and Nico both paired their black dresses with several strands.

With the return of our favorite Fall shows we also have seen a return to fabulous TV fashion. Lipstick Jungle is no exception.

Although, we readily covet the Alberta Ferretti dress, YSL Tote, and Valentino sandals seen on last night’s episode we know that these are pricey items we can’t regularly stock in our closets. Meaghan Mahoney on Katherine Heigl’s Valentino Nuage Bag

If you are like me, then you are incredibly thrilled to see Grey’s Anatomy back on the air. Actually, I live vicariously through the cast and truly think that for one hour a week I am long time friends with each and every person working in that hospital and on that show. Off screen the most press surrounds Katherine Heigl. The 29 year old blonde beauty is followed by a few paparazzi on each outing, asking her about her married life, cast mates, and herself.

I of course love it because I get to see which great bag the starlet is wearing. Katherine’s style varies, but I tend to think she and I take a similar route in the casual chic apparel. And Heigl’s choice of handbags are what really lures me in, as she opts for hard to recognize bags such as the Zufi Alexander Kiss Me Baby, and most recently the very hard to identify Le Petitpas Wilm Handbag .

While shopping in Los Angeles over the weekend, Katherine Heigl sported shorts, a tee, a ball cap, and finished off her look with the Valentino Nuage Bag in white patent leather. This handbag has been a celebrity favorite, as the bag sports a slouchy look with the perfect feminine touch, a bow on the side. While I prefer to see this bag dressed up a tad, with skinny jeans and a pair of heels, the look on Katherine Heigl reminds us that celebrities are just like us, needing to be on the go and throwing on whatever works.

I’ll admit it’s only been a few months and already I am going through Lipstick Jungle withdrawal. That’s why I was happy to see one of the show’s stars Lindsay Price out and about at TV UPFRONTS Week. Turns out I was able to get the goods on some of the sweet soirées she attended and what she wore.

One of the places Price was spotted was at the chic new Upper East side boutique Cream where she hosted the grand opening of the store on May 13th. Price looked pristine in a white cotton dress by Flavio Castellani as she joined store owners Raquel Trout and Curtis Grajeda .

This new addition to NYC promises not to disappoint stylish fashionistas wanting the latest and greatest. Cream offers an impressive roster of contemporary designers namely Alessandro dell’Acqua, Antik Batik, Anna Sui, Ports 1961, and Tracey Feith.
