The latest show news on the block? In light of the economic situation, Ugly Betty will be scaling down spending in the wardrobe department come Season 4.
According to Coco Perez, the crew is “being mindful of budget and waiting for markdowns,” especially on the notoriously pampered Wilhelmina Slater’s attire.
A clutch fit for the queen bee at Mode? Wilhelmina will tell you - it’s this precious Patent Kona Clutch.
Featuring Italian patent leather and bengaline lining, this luxe handbag opens with an hexagonal frame and stores all the essentials for an on-the-go yet fashionable day or outrageous night. Click here to make it yours!

We just can’t wait for Season 4 of Ugly Betty. We already told you about Betty’s all new look, but we’re also wondering what the ever-fashionable Amanda will bring to the table.
Hands down the hottest receptionist in New York, Amanda is a fan of clean silhouettes paired with statement accessories. Our guilty pleasure? Amanda Tanen’s Gold Chain Necklace. Featuring two styles of round metal links, this fun, hip-hop inspired necklace works for both night and day. And guess what? Its low price makes it a perfect addition to the recessionista’s wish list!

Get ready, Ugly Betty fans, to see a whole new Suarez hit your screen this season. That’s because Betty is getting a makeover!
According to Entertainment Weekly, a “newly glamorized” Betty will make her debut as Mode’s associate features editor. So what’s she having done?
Don’t worry - she won’t be going under the knife to make her sleek new transformation. Series creator Silvio Horta tells Entertainment Weekly that ”there will be a progression in her look overall,” including “shaped brows, understated makeup amd smoother locks.” While she’ll still have her oversize initial necklace, vibrant ensembles and signature charm, expect to see her braces gone by the end of the season!

Fall TV is right around the corner. And you know what that means… premieres! That’s right, we’re only a little more than a month out from the seasonal debut of your favorite primetime ABC shows. But which is closest to your heart?
Is it the life-threatening events of Grey’s Anatomy that keep you entertained? The fussy drama among the Desperate Housewives that grabs your attention? The fierce fashion at MODE magazine on Ugly Betty that makes you watch? Or maybe, just maybe, you can’t wait to see who the new Bachelor is. We have to know…
In the final episode of Ugly Betty, Amanda was wearing a pair of black, weblike ankle boot/shoes. Where can I get these? -bramble
Hey there. We know a few things about these fabulous booties - they’re by Manolo Blahnik, and Amanda wore them in The Fall Issue of Ugly Betty with a great Yigal Azrouel tulip skirt. Read on to see what we discovered!
We know Wilhelmina knocks Claire Meade for her fashion choices on almost every episode of Ugly Betty, but we’re not afraid to admit that we usually like her look. On last night’s season finale, ‘The Fall Issue,’ Claire looked fab in this Michael Kors print dress, paired with a Wolford bodysuit and red cape. Check out more looks from Ugly Betty in our finale photo gallery, and shop this episode here.
We were loving Amanda’s super-cool technical tulip skirt on the season finale of Ugly Betty. It’s by designer Yigal Azrouel, and we love that it uses such comfy, stretchy fabric for a high-end look. We’re pretty big advocates of Betty’s clothes around here. Yes, they’re outlandish and kooky and too-colorful-to-wear, but taken apart, the pieces are completely, totally wearable. Case in point? This adorable, Chanel-style tweed jacket by Nanette Lepore.
Now, we may not pair it with a green tulle petticoat with orange cotton binding, or throw on Puce open-toe Mary Jane shoes with pink scallop trim and fabric bow buckles as Betty did on the show, but the jacket? We’ll wear it anytime.
