Heidi said it best - three strikes and you’re out! It was auf wiedersehen for Mitchell in this week’s episode of Project Runway, but, oddly, congratulations are in order for his team challenge partner Ra’mon Lawrence!  

This savvy designer was the winning contestant in the beach chic and avant-garde challenge with a flowing belted beach dress that is to-die-for and a lime green asymmetrical number that Ra’mon Lawrence all but designed by himself. Make them your own after the jump!

In last night’s avant-garde and beachwear challenge, the designers definitely had their work cut out for them. Not only were they asked to partner up with another designer, but they also had to create two (yes, two) runway pieces!

Some teams made it work (brilliantly!) and others all but had a high fashion meltdown. Which team do you think pulled it off best?

Meet Ari Fish.  She is a Gemini who received her design training at the Kansas City Art Institute. She loves working with any type of fabric or material. How would she dress first lady Michelle Obama? With a “peach-colored, super-concentric stitched satin one-piece dress with an intense but comfortable collar.”  If she were to name her own label, she’d call it “Made in America by Ari Fish”. Tune in to Project Runway on August 20 and watch designer Ari put her skills to the test!

Meet Christopher Straub of Project Runway Season 6. The first garment he ever made was a pair of crazy clown pants at the age of 14. While his designing strength is incorporating volume into his garments, he admits that his weaknesses include working with delicate fabrics and constructing body-hugging (fitted) garments. Supermodel and supermom Heidi Klum sat down with Diane Sawyer on Good Morning America today to dish about family and fashion. The big news? Heidi revealed that she is pregnant with her fourth child, a girl, and that Season 6 of Project Runway will be set in Los Angeles!

Though the show is traditionally filmed in New York, Heidi explained that the new location provided for a change of scenery and easier access to celebrity guests - like Lindsay Lohan! The cast of designers will be revealed tomorrow, July 9th, here and the new season will premiere on August 20th on Lifetime. That being said, we have to know…
