Eco-conscious Designer Amy Helfand designed the work-of-art rug in the house's living room. A Tetra aquarium and cool pillows from Laidback give the space a relaxed vibe.
Bold blue and rust hues take center stage in this bedroom, with some rockin' lamps from LightenUp Design.
Dwell bedding and organic, hand-hewn beds make this bedroom a mix of rustic and modern.
The Schwinn bike in the Real World office is extra-special - it's hooked up to a power generator to run the computer. You gotta pedal to print!
Can a punchy, playful laundry area make you actually want to do chores? We're guessing no, but still, the wall sculpture used on the walls is motivation... at least to decorate.
This is a kitchen you want to cook in. Customizable J. Persing barstools give the seating area punch.
This room is all about fun splashes of color. Here, Wonk beds are used in a different hue and vibrant lamps and accessories break up the space.
Another view of the blue bedroom, this time with a comfy, modern chair by Wonk and soft drapes.
A calm, soothing palette is marked in this room. With modern furniture from Wonk and cool linens from Dwell, this is an easy look to replicate in your own Real World.

We were lucky enough to hit the set of The Real World: Brooklyn before they broke it down after filming the show. The sets this year were amazing - the folks at MTV really take time to think about eco-friendly design.

Many of the textiles used in the house, like this Amy Helfand rug, were made in ways that had little impact on the environment - or the people producing the items. And to use the computer this year, the housemates had to pedal away on a Schwinn bike hooked up to a power generator. That’s one way to think twice about browsing the Web!
Check out our full set tour of this awesome house here, and keep coming back for news on the products seen on MTV … and pretty much every other show out there!

Real World Brooklyn begins tonight, and we’ve had the pleasure of taking an exclusive set tour of the house where the shenanigans happen. What we love about Real World of late is that they make every attempt to use socially conscious product in their design. Case in point? Check out this beautiful rug featured in the new house’s living room:

Amy Helfand, the Brooklyn-based artist behind this piece, is committed to fair labor practices in producing her rugs. (We were surprised to learn that many hand-knotted rugs produced overseas actually made by children in poor working conditions. Amy’s work is certified by Rugmark, which guarantees fair labor practices in production.)

Amy told us this fabulous piece is available via her studio for $11,200 - ‘Wild Garden’ design. In case you still need convincing, it’s hand-knotted at 100 knots/inch in Nepal from Tibetan wool and Chinese Silk, and is available in custom colors and sizes as it is made to order. Size is 8′x10′. See the rug on Real World: Brooklyn tonight, and keep coming back for more exclusive products from the show.

We’re finally here at Real World 20, and judging from the premiere episode last night it will not disappoint as far as roommate feuds, juicy gossip, and outside stressors are concerned. I know you are all waiting for me to dish on the crazy roomies trying to claw their way to the top and realize their dreams as Hollywood stars, but I have another agenda. While we loved watching the roomies interact, we especially loved looking at their pad. It was fabulous. And the best part is that it is eco-friendly and chic.

I’ve already selected some key pieces from Chiasso, one of the key home decor companies that helped furbish the pad, for my own crib. I can already see myself curling up on the Lola Barkskin Chaise with the Zhenni Table Lamp while reading a book!
You can outfit your pad in Chiasso too with looks from the Real World! Shop the products now- and go behind the scenes in the house with the Set Tour given by SeenON! insider Joslyn Davis.
