Fashion Rewind: Olivia’s Alexis Bittar Link Necklace from The City 119

  |  { 1 } COMMENT

olivia-alexis-bittar

We’re not going to come down too much harder on Olivia for not prepping enough for her latest Elle assigment. After all, it’s not easy to look this good. It takes countless trials and errors, great attention to detail and plenty of mirror time.

So while the results of Olivia’s blogger interviews came up short, her classy interviewer ensemble did not disappoint. The piece that brings it all together? Her Alexis Bittar chunky gold link necklace.

Ready to steal Olivia’s coveted style? Pair this Alexis Bittar Link Necklace similar to Olivia’s with a Zara Jacket, Zara Shorts and one pair of really elusive Top Shop heels. And hey - even if you don’t nail the interview, at least you will look the part.

Fashion Rewind: Olivia’s Multi-Chain Top Shop Necklace from The City 119

  |  { 1 } COMMENT

olivia-top-shop

Sorry Olivia. Based on what we heard in your meeting with Joe, we don’t think anyone will be reading your blogger interview. Not if Erin has anything to do with it.

It’s a good thing you have amazing taste in fashion. In fact, we think it is the saving grace that’s keeping you at Elle when your high-profile assignments go awry.

Let’s talk about, for example, your Multi-Chain Top Shop Necklace from last night’s ”Weekend At Freddie’s” episode of The City. You know as well as we do that key accessories like this multirow mixed metal piece can take an otherwise casual look from simply good to glamorous.

Curious about Olivia’s bright bold top? Get the details on the rest of Olivia’s look after the jump!

Hot Find: Whitney’s Kova and T Oversized Jersey Dress from The City 118

Whitney and Roxy co-hosting a Longchamp fundraiser? What could possibly go wrong?

Surprisingly, nothing disastrous - save for the fact that Olivia abandoned Roxy during the photo shoot to tend to her friends. That’s one for team People’s Revolution. Hooray!

While we  thought Whitney successfully styled her Moschino dress for the occasion (to be honest, we’re still looking for it!), we have to admit that we weren’t paying as close attention during her staff meeting as we should have been because we were distracted by her Kova & T Kim Oversized Jersey Dress.

This oversized cotton-blend jersey sweater dress is a seasonless wardrobe staple. Wear this transitional basic over leather leggings and spike-heeled ankle boots to give it razor-sharp edge. Take Whitney’s lead and let this piece be the canvas ready to be painted with your array of  artistic jewelry.

Downtown Denim: Samantha’s Gum Drop Recessive Cigarette Jean from The City 117

  |  { 1 } COMMENT

sami-purple-pants-1

A big city girl can never have enough shoes. She needs a pair for a date with a boy on the Lower East Side, a pair for the Upper East Side, a pair for Wall Street… the list goes on. Just ask Whitney and Samantha.

The girls hit the ultra trendy store Jeffrey in this week’s ”Meet The Fackelmayers” episode of The City to peruse a girl’s first love (what else?), shoes. Oh, and maybe to dish about some hot lifeguards. Samantha outfitted in these Genetic Denim Cigarette Jeans in Gum Drop for the excursion.

A bright purple wash on a super slim fit canvas, these cigarette jeans are a hipster’s dream come true. They’re that perfect break from the ordinary and bound to put you in the running for hottest downtown looks. Now, time to shop for the right shoes to pair them with. Sorry Roxy, you’re not invited!

Fashion Spoiler: Whitney’s Doma Leather Hooded Jacket from The City 117

whitney-doma-jacket

In tonight’s episode of The City, it’s boys, boys, boys for Whitney and Sami. The girls hit Bergdorf Goodman for a book release party and end up spending more time browsing the eye candy than the merchandise.

The one that gets Whitney’s attention? The brother of Samantha’s friend Freddie. Whitney draws him in with this delectable Doma Leather Hooded Jacket. Featuring angled zips and piped seaming, this luscious leather piece is right on trend for the season. A removable jersey hood gives it a tough, punky edge.

Curious about how this big city girl completes her cool party ensemble? Look forward to Louboutin shoes, an Alexander Wang shirt and a Top Shop skirt.

Shoptalk: Olivia’s Long Floral Dress from The City 116

  |  { 1 } COMMENT

Hi SeenON! In that same scene in the last episode of The City (with Erin’s blue tank and skirt), what dress is Olivia wearing? The dress that Joe Zee complimented? Thanks! - Carrie

olivia-dress

Nice spotting, Carrie. Who wouldn’t want a piece of Joe Zee-approved attire? Unfortunately, Olivia’s long floral dress is vintage Urban Outfitters and no longer available online.

The good news? You can still steal Olivia’s style from this episode by layering this Surplice Floral Print Dress under a Reiss jacket and Steve Madden shoes just like Olivia. Add a Topshop vintage necklace and you’re ready to hit the offices of Elle.

Shoptalk: Erin’s Blue Tank Dress from The City 116

  |  { 1 } COMMENT

Hi SeenON! I was wondering if you can tell me who makes Erin’s blue tank dress from this week’s episode of The City. She wore it while she and Joe were going over Olivia’s exclusives for Fall A to Zee. Thanks! - Shannon

erin-skirt

How hot did Erin look in this racy ensemble? Believe it or not, Erin’s blue “tank dress” from the “It’s All Who You Know” episode of The City is actually an American Apparel tank teamed up with a Theory skirt. You can get both and make Erin’s sultry office look all your own.

We Want This: Whitney’s Studded Rebecca Minkoff Tote from The City 115

whitney-rebecca-bag

While Roxy got praise for her idea to have the model take her top off at the jeans photo shoot, we think the real star of the “Working Girls” episode of The City was Whitney’s Studded Rebecca Minkoff Leather Tote.

Utterly glamorous in design, this fine leather tote showcases goldtone stud embellishments along the strap, top and bottom with belt detail. Pair it with your favorite gold jewelry to channel Whitney’s gorgeous glamour girl look. And top on or top off, this bag will give you all the confidence you need to head out the door.

Fashion Flashback: Roxy’s Nina Ricci Canvas Blazer from The City 411

roxy-blazer-1

Whitney was reunited with former L.A. bestie Roxy in this week’s “Sleeping With The Frenemy” episode of The City. But Roxy’s manifested unruly behavior has us asking questions. Will she really prove to be a friend to sweet Whitney or an enemy?

This West Coast turned East Coast bad girl wasted no time crashing Whitney’s pad. She also got her roommate busted by throwing a boisterous party that got broken up by the cops! Still, we can appreciate her newfound New York fashion sense.

Take this Nina Ricci Cavas Blazer she wore to scope out Whitney’s new place. A canvas lamé-like finish and unparalleled versatility to go from dressed up to dressed down set this piece apart from the plethora of other blazers out there. We love how Roxy wore it with a casual top and destroyed jeans to give off some glam rocker chic vibes. Rock on!
